Happy Change!!!

Big changes are happening my Friends!  :)
I finally have a studio, yipeee! and I'm getting ready to move in and settle in Seattle’s "Home for Arts and Culture in Magnuson Park", building 30 which is a gorgeous facility. I'm so happy to be joining a family of some 40 professional and dedicated artists. Let's celebrate my new adventure with a Party and Open House Exhibition and you are all invited!
Please come on Sunday, August 2, 11-5
Magnuson Park, Building 30,  studio 204.
All studios and a Gallery will be open for public

I'm also starting Oil Painting and Color Mixing classes at the new location, Magnuson Park Art Studio on Mondays.
Classes are taught in the Russian Impressionist tradition or ala prima (direct style).
The emphasis is on composition, design, color mixing and paint application.  Learn the foundation how to create a painting, concept of seeing, describing, analyzing and applying color..
Understanding artistic terminologies and creating a vocabulary.
Becoming familiar with the various masters that have influenced this painting method is an important part of my class. Classes are structured in a way that is relaxing, comfortable, packed with demos, individual painting time and most of all fun. All levels are welcome and I have 2 time slots.
10:00 am-1:00 pm
Cost is $35 a class (paid monthly in advance and non refundable, except  change is on my part).

Contact me to secure your spot, as space is limited to 6 students per class by emailing to milychka@gmail.com

We are located at Magnuson Park on the shore of Lake Washington in the Sand Point neighborhood of Seattle.
To reach my Studio, enter the park at 74th Street, turn left on 63rd Avenue NE. Building 30 West is immediately on the right.

"Discovery II"

“A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art.” said Cezanne, and I agreed :) Try to express your deepest thoughts, incentives through your art ...Leave the fear, shame and insecurity at the door of your studio - paint, sing, be wild and messy ..get yourself a permission feel vulnerable...cry ..laugh ..BUT paint...create ..keep mastering your own voice ..
The energy will flow into your work with confidence,  and confidence can be build up with time and perseverance... so paint every day ....Here is my plein air painting from yesterday..
